MOXIBUSTION
Moxibustion is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapy that involves burning a dried herb called mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) near or on the skin to stimulate acupuncture points. Here are some of the reasons why someone may receive moxibustion therapy:
Pain relief: Moxibustion can help alleviate pain by increasing blood circulation and promoting the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals in the body, such as endorphins. It is often used to treat conditions such as arthritis, muscle pain, and menstrual cramps.
Digestive health: Moxibustion can help stimulate the digestive system and alleviate digestive problems, such as bloating, constipation, and diarrhea.
Immune support: Moxibustion can help boost the immune system by stimulating the production of white blood cells and activating the body's natural healing processes.
Women's health: Moxibustion is often used to treat women's health issues, such as menstrual cramps, infertility, and menopausal symptoms. Gynecological issues: Moxibustion can be used to treat a variety of gynecological issues such as menstrual cramps, irregular periods, and fertility issues. It is often used in conjunction with acupuncture and herbal therapy.
Respiratory health: Moxibustion can help alleviate respiratory problems, such as asthma, bronchitis, and allergies.
Mental health: Moxibustion can help promote relaxation and reduce stress, which can benefit mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
